You know that feeling when you walk into a room and instantly sense it’s going to be a great night? It’s not about what anyone said or did – it’s just an energy you can’t help but feel.

Those are the kinds of moments I aim to create.

Hi there! I’m Kim – owner and designer of Flourish Florals.

I grew up just outside of Chicago, where my love for nature began early. As a kid, I spent countless hours helping my grandparents in their garden and exploring trails in the forest preserve nearby. I was completely captivated by the beauty of flowers and plants, which sparked a deep connection to nature.

My creative side led me to study fashion merchandising in college, where I fell in love with design, color and styling. After graduating, I worked as a Visual Merchandiser at Zara, creating eye-catching displays and learning the art of storytelling through design. Later, I transitioned into real estate, working for a top team in Chicago with a strong focus on project management and customer service.

These experiences taught me how powerful design and detail are in shaping how people feel. Whether styling a collection or helping clients list their home, I loved creating meaningful moments – but I began to miss the creative, hands-on side of my work.

I soon realized floral design was the perfect blend of everything I love: nature, artistry and connection.

When I’m not dreaming up floral designs, you can find me indulging in the little things that bring me joy – like finding the perfect cup of coffee paired with dark chocolate, traveling with my husband, or taking long neighborhood walks with my Goldendoodle.

I believe in celebrating both the big and little moments in life and would be honored to help celebrate yours.

  • I love transforming ideas into designs that feel effortless, beautiful and full of life. Inspired by the world all around us – nature, street fashion, art and travel, each design is crafted to tell a story and bring a feeling to every space.

  • From the first conversation to the final detail, my goal is to make the process feel easy, collaborative and dare I say, fun? I take the time to listen, understand your vision and guide you with care, creativity and attention to every detail.

  • I strive to design responsibly – sourcing locally whenever possible, minimizing waste, composting what I can and embracing what each season naturally provides.
